Same space, new creation.
From a 1960’s reception area in a 19th Century building, we created a 21st Century sense of welcome for the Irish News.
Able to embrace evolving creative methods of construction and modern technology, but grounded in traditional skills and attention to detail, we took an area that once housed offices and a small reception area to create a new and very modern public space.
Transforming the architect’s vision into working reality has become second nature to us. But through quality craftsmanship we ensure ever-present functionality as we realise the vision for our client.
Refurbishing a local institution.
Working closely with the architect, we recreated the reception area in six weeks and all within the confines of a functioning daily newspaper, where journalists needed to meet deadlines and a daily paper had to hit the streets.
For those placing family notices, there was also a requirement for privacy too. But we still needed to demolish offices, import specialist German plasterboard and install stucco panelling to create this bright, welcoming, contemporary yet traditional reception for a local institution.
